Continental Classic 2025 participants presented


Final lineups and participants for AEV Continental Classic Tournament 2025 are now set.

Last week, in front Full Gear 2025All Elite Wrestling has announced news about this year’s Continental Classic tournament. Now, finally, after a week of waiting, the Jacksonville-based promotion has released its slate of participating wrestlers, tournament style and rules. Round robin tournament will begin on the 26th of November in the episode of AEV Dynamite and conclude on AEV The end of the world. Both league finals and championship finals will be held at The end of the world.

This year, fans are hoping to see a new champion crowned, after the current champion Kazuchika Okadasuccessful continental title defense against Will Ospreay last year. Yesterday, AEV aired a selection show at 10:00 PM EST to reveal the roster of wrestlers. Similar to the previous editions, this year too there will be two groups: Blue and Golden League.

The rules of the tournament are as follows: each match will have a time limit of 20 minutes. The winners will receive three points, while the participants involved in the draw will be given one point each. Everyone is banned from ringside during matches.

Ahead of the tournament, Tony Kahn also took to X, formerly Twitter, and fired up the crowd.

Kyle O’Reilly was also recently banned from the tournament after his violent match against Moxley in the Full Gear.

Despite the stacked roster, several top stars are missing from the tournament, including Swerve Strickland, Adam Page, Will Osprey, MJF and many more.

History of the AEV Continental Classic Tournament

The AEV Continental Classic was introduced in 2023 to showcase the elite competition in the ring. Following the example of NJPV G1 Climaxthe tournament features two blocks of competitors competing for points, with the finalists meeting at the year-end PPV.

The first event also established the AEV Continental Crown, merging ROH World, NJPV STRONG Openweight and the new AEV Continental Championship. Eddie Kingston was crowned the first Continental Crown Champion. Since then, the tournament has become an annual AEV tradition.
