Kevin Huerter adds to Chicago’s long list of injuries

on monday, Chicago Bulls increased the lead by 15 points and lost 125-120 to the Orlando Magic. As a result, they have now lost four straight games and are 9-11.

At the same time, the Bulls are facing a big shortage of healthy bodies, like many players are on the injured list. Now the second player, Kevin Huerterhas found his place following an adductor injury suffered against the Magic, per Elias Schuster of Sports Illustrated.

In his third straight game as a starter, the sharp-shooting forward left the game after just six minutes. He wasn’t the only one absent, like Kobe White had to sit due to stress in the leaves as well as congestion.

Additionally, six players did not suit up for Orlando. They were Isaac Okoro, Zach Collins, Noah Essengue, Jalen Smith and Dalen Terry.

Huerter is averaging 11.9 points, 3.3 rebounds and 2.4 assists in 19 games. He came as part of three-way trade who sent Zach LaVine to the Sacramento Kings in February.

Given the delicacy of the Bulls’ roster, head coach Billy Donovan took notice they can look G League players to fill the spots, according to NBA.com’s Sam Smith.

“Listen, we’re going to have some young guys in there,” Donovan said. “A lot of times it’s not about the miss or the shot, it’s about all the other things.”
