Orlando made a last-minute change with the NBA Cup court damaged

The The Orlando Magic will face the Miami Heat in an NBA Cup quarterfinal showdown this Tuesday night at the Kia Center in Orlando, but the arena floor will not be protected.
Instead of a court with vivid saturated colors and a picture of a giant NBA Cup trophy in the middle of the floor, the game will be played on the Magic’s regular floor.
Obviously, the court for the Magic’s NBA Cup was damaged and cannot be used for competition, according to Jason Beede of the Orlando Sentinel.
“A look at the Kia Center ahead of tonight’s NBA Cup quarterfinals between the #Magic and the Heat, the Orlando Cup court is apparently damaged in storage so the team is using their regular court tonight,” Bid shared via a social media post on X, formerly Twitter.
Hopefully for the home team, the sudden change of court will not affect their perfect performance so far in the 2025-26 NBA season edition of the tournament. The Magic took first place in Group B of the NBA Cup in the Eastern Conference standings with a 4-0 record. On the other hand, the Heat went 3-1 in group play.
The Magic will enter this showdown against Miami after a 106-100 loss to the New York Knicks last week. They will also be without the services of star forward Franz Wagner, who is he is expected to miss multiple weeks due to a high left ankle sprain he suffered in the win over New York.
Orlando is 2-0 so far on the campaign against the Heat, so another win over Miami would seal a regular-season win for the Magic in this head-to-head matchup.
As for the Heat, they are looking to end a three-game losing streak as they begin a four-game road trip.
