Giannis Antetokounmpo’s teammate tired of “he said, she said” trade rumors

Rumors were rife last week swirling around the Milwaukee Bucks and whether they finally can or not trade superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo after months of speculation. While Antetokounmpo has yet to officially request a trade, ESPN NBA Insider Shams Charania recently reported that he has met with his agent and the team to discuss next steps.

recently, Kevin Porter Jr. Bucks talked about the frustration of the rumors constantly hanging over the team.

“This is the last thing I’m going to say about false information. At the end of the day, everybody just has to wait for Giannis to say something, because this is all he says, she says, and I guarantee when we start winning and we’re 8-0, 9-0, you’re not going to see anything about the Bucks,” Porter Jr. said, per Eric Nehm of former Twitter XA.

“You’re not going to see, ‘Oh, the Bucks are 8-0, 9-0, they’re booming, and Giannis is…’ We’re not going to see any of that positive news, so at least for me, this is the last time I’m responding to anything fake.”

The reason the Bucks won’t see reports of their success is because there hasn’t been much to report lately, as the team has been in free fall in the Eastern Conference standings recently, both with and without Antetokounmpo in the lineup.

Right now, the superstar is sidelined with a calf strain that he ironically suffered the same day Charania’s report came out, and there is some concern about how much Antetokounmpo’s durability issues over the past few years could negatively impact what the Bucks can get for him on the trade market.

Either way, the Bucks will next take the floor Thursday night at home against the Boston Celtics. That game is scheduled to start at 20:00 ET from Milwaukee.
