Philip Rivers, Riley Leonard The decision for Week 15 has not yet been made

With Daniel Jones is now out for the seasonthe Indianapolis Colts he needs to make a key quarterback decision. Or Riley Leonard or Philip Rivers will be in the center in the 15th week.
Leonard, though less experienced, was at least Indianapolis’ backup. Rivers may be a future Hall of Famer, but he hasn’t played in the NFL since 2020. Still, the Colts they haven’t fully decided who will get the start against the Seattle Seahawks, via NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
“They still haven’t made a firm and final decision,” Rapoport said. “But it’s very possible we’ll see Rivers against Seattle.”

Leonard is dealing with a PCL sprain, which could ultimately decide the quarterback competition on its own. He was able to practice, but Leonard shared reps in the first period with Rivers. The Colts will wait to make a decision on the starting QB until they have all their ducks in a row.
It would be a little shocking to see Indianapolis brings Rivers out of retirement if only he drives the bench. Furthermore, the fact that he’s already taking first-team reps shows head coach Shane Steichen is at least getting him more used to the offense. Leonard may know more about Indianapolis’ current playbook. But Rivers comes to the Colts with a lot of accolades.
Eight Pro Bowls to be exact. The quarterback threw for 63,440 yards and 421 touchdowns during his 17-year NFL career. In turn, Leonard only attempted two passes in the NFL before being traded when Jones suffered an Achilles injury.
At 8-5, the Colts are still firmly in the playoff race. Who they decide to go with at quarterback will dictate the rest of the season in Indianapolis.
