Ivica Zubac will miss at least 3 weeks with an ankle injury

The Los Angeles Clippers it will be without a great man Ivica Zubac in several weeks due to a lower-body injury, says ClutchPoints’ Tomer Azarly.
“Ivica Zubac suffered a Grade 2 left ankle sprain against the LA Clippers and will be re-evaluated in 3 weeks,” Azarly said via a social media post on X, formerly Twitter.
Zubac was injured during last Saturday’s home game at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood against the Los Angeles Lakers.
28-year-old Zubac was injured in the first quarter of the Lakers game and was later ruled out for the rest of the competition. Before going out, he scored five points on 2-for-3 shooting from the field, grabbed two rebounds and an assist in just 11 minutes of action.
Veteran center Brook Lopez saw plenty of time on the floor after Zubac’s injury, scoring 11 points on 4-for-7 shooting with five boards and two blocks in 25 minutes in the Clippers’ 103-88 win over LeBron James and the Lakers.
Zubc’s injury notice dampens the Clippers’ prospects, as the team will be without its top rebounder and best rim protector for some time. Given this initial injury timeline, Zubac cannot be expected to see action in any of the Clippers’ remaining games in 2025.
Los Angeles has four more games before the end of the year, starting with the Houston Rockets at home next Tuesday, followed by a road game against the Portland Trail Blazers on Friday. The Clippers will then take on the Detroit Pistons and Sacramento Kings on December 28 and 30 at the Intuit Dome.
In the season, Zubac averaged 15.6 points, 11.1 rebounds and 1.0 blocks per game.
