When LeBron 23 Celebrates 2008’s “Redemption Team”
The LeBron 23 found the right vein by highlighting all the feats and significant moments in LeBron James’ career. The King’s 23rd signature shoe continues to take us on this journey with this “Out for Redemption” version that commemorates LBJ’s first Olympic title with Team USA.
It was 2008, four years after the fiasco of the Athens Olympics. In Beijing, the US armada succeeded in its mission by winning gold again at the end of a memorable final against the Spanish.
In order to change the usual gold color, this time Nike opted for a metallic blue upper decorated with patterns that would be inspired by Chinese history. Only the “swoosh” and the player’s signature on the tongue stand out in gold. There’s also a “Redeemed Team” decal on the tongue to complete the look.
