Draymond Green already hit a technical foul 3 minutes into the Nets game

It didn’t take long Draymond Green to get a technical foul during Golden State Warriors vs. Brooklyn Nets match on Monday night.

Green has had a knack for technical fouls and flagrant fouls throughout his career as the Warriors’ defensive enforcer. He has accumulated three technical fouls this season while trying to avoid too many suspensions.

Unfortunately, he received his fourth technical foul season during Golden State’s match against Brooklyn. What stands out about it is that it happened three minutes into the game when Green shoved Nicholas Claxton to the floor.

Despite Draymond Green’s mishap, the Warriors rallied to beat the Nets 120-107.

The game was close through the first three quarters as Golden State led just 89-85. Despite this, the Warriors did not lose confidence as they outscored Brooklyn 31-22 and created enough distance to secure the win.

Free throws, rebounds and scoring played key roles in this match. The Warriors won in all three categories by making 28 free throws, grabbing 40 rebounds and scoring 56 points. It wasn’t the same for the Nets as they took 17 shots at the line, grabbed 34 rebounds and scored 30 points.

Six players scored in double figures in Golden State’s win. Stephen Curry led the way with 27 points, five assists, two rebounds and a steal. He shot 8-of-15 from the field, including 5-of-12 from beyond the arc, and 6-of-7 from the free throw line. Jimmy Butler III followed with 21 points and five rebounds, Trace Jackson-Davis had 11 points and six rebounds, while Gary Payton, DeAnthony Melton and Will Richard each scored 10 points. Meanwhile, Green provided seven points, five rebounds, three assists, one steal and a block.

Golden State improved to 17-16 on the season, holding onto eighth place in the Western Conference standings. They are 1.5 games ahead of the Memphis Grizzlies and 3.5 games ahead of the Portland Trail Blazers, while trailing the Phoenix Suns by 2.5 games and the Minnesota Timberwolves by 3.5 games.

The Warriors will look forward to their next match, staying on the road. They face the Charlotte Hornets on December 31st at 1:00 PM ET.
