CJ McCollum beats the Bucks in the last second

No 3rd straight win for Bucks, surprised at home by WizardsAlec Sarr (20 points). It’s CJ McCollum who airs the room in Milwaukee with a mid-range shot with one second left.
Returning to the Fiserv Forum for the first time in almost a month, Giannis Antetokounmpo immediately leaves a mark on the meeting. He scored 10 of the Bucks’ first 15 points, giving the home team a quick eight-point lead. The Wizards respond and get back to -2, but Myles Turner’s two long shots give the Bucks some breathing room. Despite ending the quarter in favor of Washington, Milwaukee held a short lead at the end of the first quarter (32-30).
The second quarter begins with the highlight of the Bucks, who have up to six points advantage. But a moment of confusion, epitomized by Bobby Portis’ technical foul, changes the dynamic. The Wizards took advantage of the opportunity to go on a 10-0 run to take their first lead of the game. Milwaukee responded with a 10-2 run at the end of the period to rally, but C.J. McCollum hit a 3-pointer in the closing seconds to give Washington a 65-62 lead at the break, capped by a perfect drive from behind the arc in the quarter.
Bubba Carrington’s heatstroke
Back from the locker room, Milwaukee started strong thanks to Turner and Antetokounmpo, but Washington went on a 10-1 run to get the lead back to eight points. Doc Rivers then adjusts the Bucks defense, who tighten the screw wide and head into the zone. Score: 8-0 allows Milwaukee to go back in front after six minutes in the 3rd quarter (76-75). The two teams go shot for shot until the end of the period, and Kyle Kuzma’s layup in the final seconds gives the Bucks the lead before the final act (88-86).
The fourth quarter began with a real recital by Bub Carrington, who scored three consecutive three-pointers for a 13-3 run in favor of the Wizards and increased the gap (99-91). Milwaukee is not giving up and is gradually coming back, especially thanks to Giannis and the key game-winning shot by Ryan Rollins, who tied the game at 110-110 two minutes from time.
The Bucks then briefly took the lead at the free throw line, and Giannis made it 113-110 with 33 seconds left. But Washington doesn’t panic: McCollum closes the gap on a layup, and then, after two empty Milwaukee possessions, the former Blazer gets the ball back for a zero-degree jumper with one second on the clock. After the timeout, Antetokounmpo’s last off-balance attempt failed, giving the Wizards a forfeit victory: 114-113.

WHAT TO REMEMBER
The Wizards bench shines. For once, the Wizards’ subs had a game-changing impact with a combined 32 points for Bub Carrington and Justin Champagne. Under their leadership, the bench scored 52 points, compared to 23 for the Bucks. Only Bobby Portis survives among the Bucks.
Sarr decisive. Before CJ McCollum’s game-winning basket, Alex Sarr had just blocked Giannis Antetokounmpo’s shot, which could have given Milwaukee a three-point lead. The Frenchman was generally very good with 20 points, 11 rebounds and 4 blocks.
