Hurricane fans love Carson Beck’s reaction to the Ohio State win
The Miami Hurricanes closed out the calendar year with one of the most significant wins in program history, knocking off No. 2 Ohio State 24–14 in the Cotton Bowl to advance to the College Football Playoff semi-finals. He was in the center of the breakthrough Carson Beckwhose poise and efficiency set the tone against one of the nation’s most physical defenses.
From the first run, Beck controlled the pace. He made quick, decisive throws and avoided risky situations, finishing the night 19 of 26 for 138 yards and a touchdown with no turnovers. His first-quarter touchdown pass, a 9-yard strike to Mark Fletcher Jr., capped an early spurt that put the Hurricanes up 14-0 and immediately put the pressure on the Buckeyes.
