Anthony Joshua shares first footage of recovery after devastating crash


Last month in Nigeria, Anthony Joshua is injured while two of his closest friends died in a fatal traffic accident. After Son of Ghami and Lateef Ayodele has diedJoshua has now finally shared an update on his life.

Still recovering from the aftermath of the accident, Joshua has returned to the gym in an attempt to recover from his injuries. The 36-year-old boxer has now shared a video on Snapchat, showing his road to recovery and comeback. Recorded training and exerciseJoshua could be seen hitting the mats, working out and riding a stationary bike. One of the clips also featured the caption “mental strength therapy.”

The fatal accident happened on December 29, 2025, when Joshua a white Lexus Jeep struck a stationary truck on the main road near Lagos. Now, almost nineteen days after the tragic incident, Joshua is back in the gym, training to get better. The crash also came 10 days after he beat Jake Paul in Miami and left him with a broken jaw.

Last week, UFC star Kamaru Usman shared a public apology for sharing his private conversation with Joshua on social media. Shortly afterwards, “The Watford Warrior” himself shared an emotional statement addressing the loss of his friends.

“Thank you for all the love and care you’ve shown my brothers. I didn’t even know how special they were. I’ll just walk with them and make jokes with them, not even knowing that God kept me in the presence of great people. 100% it’s hard for me, but I know it’s even harder for their parents (red heart emoji)

“I have a strong mind and I believe God knows their hearts. May God have mercy on my brothers (pleading emoji),” Joshua wrote.
