Joe Ingles threatens to ‘slap’ Quinten Post during free throw scrimmage

On Sunday night, Minnesota Timberwolves loss continued with the ugly home loss to the Golden State Warriors with a score of 111-85. The loss dropped the Timberwolves’ record to 27-19 in 2025-26 as they continue to slide down the Western Conference standings.
With this game out of control well before the end of the fourth quarter, Timberwolves head coach Chris Finch decided to bring some of his reserves off the bench down the stretch of this contest, including veterans Joe Ingles.
At one point, Ingles got into a heated argument with Warriors big man Quentin Post while they were shooting some free throws, at which point quickly went viral on social networks.

Ingles never gave up on the feud, which dates back to his days with the Utah Jazz, where his playoff clash with then-Oklahoma City Thunder wing Paul George grabbed headlines.
Still, Timberwolves fans were hoping that if Ingles appeared in this game, it was because they were on their way to a comfortable victory, not the underdogs.
In all, the Timberwolves have lost five games in a row, including three since Anthony Edwards returned from injury, and have begun a free fall in the Western Conference standings as a result.
There wasn’t necessarily one consistent issue that could be identified with the team during the losing streak, but on Sunday night it was certainly the offense, which put up just 85 points in the loss, a shockingly low total for today’s NBA.
The Timberwolves and Warriors were originally scheduled to play this Saturday afternoon game, but it was moved in response to the city’s second ICE-involved shooting in three weeks. Golden State and Minnesota will go head-to-head again on Monday night for a rematch in Minneapolis.
