A rare moment captures Anthony Joshua finally smiling after a fatal car accident in Nigeria
Last year, in December 2025. Anthony Joshua and two of his closest friends, Sina Ghami and Kevin Latif Ayodele, found themselves victims fatal road accident in Nigeria. While Joshua escaped with minor injuries, Gami and Ayodele lost their lives. Since then, away from the public eye, Joshua recently returned to the spotlight when he shared his first statement about the accident last week.
In a video now making the rounds on the internet, Joshua he could be seen enjoying a children’s soccer match in Hertfordshire, England, as he smiled widely and laughed. After weeks of grief and ups and downs, Joshua’s smile was enough to melt his fans online.

The ‘Watford Warrior’ was seen as delighted youngsters at a football session. He was also seen talking to the kids while also having a jolly time with them. According to The Irish Sun, it is believed to be Joshua he attends with his ten-year-old son football match, although there is no confirmation of this.
Anthony Joshua pays tribute to deceased friends

As mentioned above, Joshua recently wrote an emotional post on social media, paying tribute to his late friendswhile he also expressed gratitude to the Nigerian authorities for saving his life.
“It’s hard. It’s really hard. I’m not going to sit here and show all my emotions,” Joshua said on social media. Addressing the loss, he further claimed, “I’ve lost people before, but I don’t think I’ve lost people like this. My left and my right.”
Joshua defeated Jake Paul in a dominant boxing victory last month before visiting Nigeria on holiday. The date of Joshua’s return to the boxing ring is currently unknown.
