All indications are Giannis Antetokounmpo remains at the trade deadline

Last week, a bombshell hit the NBA: Milwaukee Bucks they were supposedly more willing to buy Giannis Antetokounmpo in the trading market than ever. The Bucks haven’t been very good this season, and it doesn’t look like they’ll be good for the foreseeable future. This led to Antetokounmpo has a stray eyeespecially when there was a disconnect in terms of goals between him and the front office.

Either way, it doesn’t look like either team will be able to put together an acceptable trade package for the Bucks before the deadline. Brett Siegel, an NBA insider for ClutchPoints, told Clutch Scoops that he doesn’t believe Antetokounmpo will will have a new team within the deadline.

“The Warriors package is there, (but) barring a last-minute trade, I don’t see that happening. And so the Miami Heat, (who are) against Giannis, could get Ja Morant as Tomer (Azarley) just alluded to. But all indications right now are that Giannis will stay with the Bucks after the trade deadline,” Siegel said.

Indeed, the rumor mill indicated that the parties most interested in Antetokounmpo could not put together a trade package that would convince the Bucks to give up the greatest player in franchise history.

The There was talk of the Minnesota Timberwolves to be the most involved in Antetokounmpo trade talks, but reportedly couldn’t acquire enough first-round picks to fill out their Jaden McDaniels-centric package.

The Warriors have tempting capitalbut the package of players they can put together is pretty uninspiring for a Bucks team looking to stay semi-competitive because they don’t control several of their future starters.

There should be more teams that can make a competitive offer this offseason, and the Bucks may be best off waiting for that time.
