Brown declares death as he watches the Pistons and Hornets battle

The Boston CelticsJailen Brown was one of millions of NBA fans who were stunned by the brawl that broke out during the third quarter of the game between Detroit Pistons and Charlotte Hornets.

The game turned chaotic midway through the third quarter when Duren, after being fouled by Moussa Diabate, came face-to-face with the Hornets forward. Jaylen Brown, watching the game live, had hilarious answer to fight.

“Oh, he pushed him. That’s disrespectful. If a guy grabs his arm and crushes your face like that… I’m not going to lie that somebody has to die,” Riley was heard saying in the clip, which Riley posted on X.

What started as a brief exchange quickly escalated into a full-on brawl, with Duren punching Diabate and igniting a 30-second brawl that spilled onto the floor.

More players joined the fray, including Miles Bridges and Isaiah Stewart, and at one point security and police briefly entered the pitch as the benches cleared and tempers flared.

Officials eventually ejected Duren and Stewart for Detroit and Diabate and Bridges for Charlotte, citing a dead ball fight. The match ended with a score of 110-104, ace Cade Cunningham led the Pistons with 33 points and nine rebounds. Duncan Robinson and Jalen Duren scored 27 and 15 points, respectively.

Hornets coach Charles Lee was ejected after angrily challenging the non-call, underscoring how emotional the night had become. Brandon Miller was the star again for the Hornets, as he finished with 24 points and three assists, and LaMelo Ball and Conn Kneppel scored 20 points each.

Grant Williams added 12 off the bench as the Pistons fended off a late push and cruised to a comfortable victory. Cunningham took control late in the game with two free throws with ten seconds on the clock.

The Pistons will now play against the Toronto Raptors, and the Hornets will host the Atlanta Hawks.
