Jaylen Williams and the Thunder do not give details about the floor of the Suns
The Thunder ended on a good note before going to the All-Star break. Two days after the victory on the floor of the Lakers, Mark Deno’s men continued in Phoenix with authoritarian success (109-136). Suns who played “back-to-back” and without Devin Booker, Jalen Green or even Grayson Allen.
OKC signed one of their best offensive tackles in 2026, counting on very good production Jalen Williamsauthor of 28 points on 11/12 shooting… in 20 minutes. Equally effective from the bench, Isaiah Joe lit the fuse behind the arc with 21 points (6/8 from long range). Behind these two, five other elements finished with 11 or more points.
in front, Dillon Brooks was the only one to exceed 20 points, but like other Phoenix starters, he did not have much weight in the debates against visiting starters: -27 in the result when he was on the floor. Trailing by 12 points after the first quarter (25-37), the home team failed to find their defensive rhythm to counter the machine.
A very well-oiled machine within which we naturally found a shooter in good shape. In the second quarter, Isaiah Joe first took responsibility for torpedoing the opposing defense, and then he was transferred by the former Sixers, Jared McCain, the author of three consecutive baskets to double the deficit at the break (44-69).
A deficit that would increase further in the next quarter, when Jaylen Williams began to take control of the game, making a series of mid-range shots, or threes, on a handoff between the legs of Isaiah Hartenstein to give the Thunder a 32-point lead (60-92). The wing scored 11 points in a row in this sequence. A strict division that would logically open the way to a long “garbage”.
WHAT TO REMEMBER
– Reference match for Jalen Williams. When he returned to Los Angeles after missing three weeks with thigh discomfort, the winger scored 23 points in a solid time but lacked playmaking skills (6/17). No awkwardness in this match with an almost perfect 11/12 on the shot, and the best mark of the season (28 points). He was impressive in the third quarter.
– The OKC bench is having fun. If Oklahoma City’s starters made the difference, the replacements were particularly inspired, especially Isaiah Joe. Behind him, Kenrich Williams gave 15 points, while Aaron Wiggins and rookie Jared McCain scored 12 points each. Complete Jaylin Williams finished with the best mark among men on the bench that totaled 74 units (50 on the Suns side). Or more than half of the Thunder’s points. With around 41 units per match, the current champion has the 9th most productive bench in the championship.
