The legendary team in ‘constant negotiations’ with the company



A legendary wrestling team and one of the most celebrated tag teams in the industry, Jeff and Matt Hardy are the current reigning TNA Knockouts Tag Team Champions. After the VVE race, the brothers moved to AEVbefore switching brands and settling in TNA.

TNA veterans, the duo has also been featured several times in NKST over the past year, after TNA and WWE NKST began a partnership deal. Recently speaking to Metro, Matt Hardy opened up a possible future VVE cooperation.

“We’re in constant talks with WWE about doing some more things. We’re going to do more with them. It was very important to us to stay in TNA and not become WWE full-time (again). At TNA, we’re going to be put in a position to succeed, and we can contribute, and we can help the company grow and be better.

“And the relationship with WWE has been great. Whenever we’ve interacted with Shawn Michaels, he’s been absolutely fantastic – Triple H, whoever, we’ve all gotten along really well. I think you’re going to see some more cool Hardy Boyz moments in WWE before it’s all said and done in 2026,” said Matt Hardy, expects to return to VVE.

Matt and Jeff Hardy they share a long association with WWE, with their first match in 1996. The duo joined the roster full-time in 1998 and remained there until 2009, before parting ways. Multiple WWE Tag Team Champions in the promotion, the duo also won the NKST tag team titles last year was 2025. Matt, 51, and Jeff, 48, are approaching the twilight of their careers.
