Did Kevin Durant criticize his teammates on social media?
Flawless with Rockets on the floor (25.8 points, 5.3 rebounds and 4.4 assists), Kevin Durant is it as much outside? According to some Internet users, not really.
Because on the sidelines of the All-Star Game this weekend, screenshots surfaced from the X/Twitter platform, with comments from an anonymous account (@getoffmidickerson) targeting several of his coaches and teammates from yesterday and today. The problem: this account, according to “web sleuths”, is Kevin Durant’s hidden account…
They range from Stephen Curry, Draymond Green and Steve Kerr (Golden State) to Alperen Sengun and Jabari Smith Jr. (Houston), including Devin Booker and Frank Vogel (Phoenix). And it’s more or less rough, between comparisons with dictators, insults and criticism of the game by some.
Just “bullshit” on Twitter?
In any case, the affair grew enough for Kevin Durant to be questioned on the subject: “ I know you should be asking these questions, but I’m not here to answer Twitter nonsense » he stated after his practice on Wednesday. ” But I understand you are doing your job by asking them. Apart from my teammates knowing what it is, we have been focused since the beginning of the season. We had a very good training session (yesterday) and we can’t wait to start our journey. »
It’s not the first time that the future Hall of Famer, particularly active on X/Twitter, has been accused of hiding behind anonymous accounts (or “burner accounts”) to get messages out and express himself more freely. In several podcasts, he himself admitted to using it.
The fact remains that this controversy comes at a time when Kevin Durant looked frustrated on the floor, according to some of his teammates, while the Rockets (33-20) showed real limits. Don’t Alperen Sengunwhom he openly asked to ” play some defense » in a loss to the Hornets.
