Anthony Edwards shows off Kobe Bryant’s trophy

Anthony Edwards he must have had a gala time lately. After winning the All-Star tournament and the MVP awardANT was quick to play for the Timberwolves again as they beat the Dallas Mavericks 122-11.
And well, in perfectly characteristic fashion, Edwards was seen showing off his MVP trophy to his teammates with a huge smile on his face, according to the post on X from the NBA. Edwards can be seen patiently showing the trophy to each of his teammates before handing it back.

Playing in his first game after the All-Star break, ANT hit 16-of-30 shooting (53.3%), knocked down 5-of-13 from three and added six rebounds in 38 minutes. Edwards committed just three turnovers on the night despite being the main focus of the hapless Mavericks defense.
The Mavericks struggled to keep up throughout and were taken back every time they threatened to take control of the game. After Dallas erased a sizable deficit to tie the game at 103 with 6:55 remaining, Edwards answered with a stepback 3-pointer that put Minnesota back in control.
Edwards scored 14 points in the fourth quarter as the Timberwolves eventually rallied to finish with an 11-point lead. The Timberwolves shot 16-of-42 from three (38.1%), generating a 24-point advantage from beyond the arc.
Rudy Gobert had 22 points, 17 rebounds and three blocks, while Naz Reed added 21 points and four 3-pointers, providing plenty of support. For the Mavericks, Khris Middleton led the way with 18 points and Marvin Bagley had a double-double with 15 points and 13 rebounds.
However, in the absence of several stars, including Cooper Flagg, Max Christie and Kyrie Irving, the Mavericks struggled to shoot all night and held a team-high 42.3% field goal accuracy. That proved to be their downfall as ANT bounced back with his eighth 40-point game of the season, helping the Mavs to their 10th straight loss.
Minnesota will now play the Philadelphia 76ers on Sunday, while the Mavericks will play the Indiana Pacers.
