Anthony Edwards admits he can’t name a single player on the Wild or Twins
Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards surprised a lot of people with his lack of knowledge of the NHL’s Minnesota Wild and MLB’s Minnesota Twins.
Edwards made a comment during a special guest appearance on the Sundae Conversation sports comedy podcast. As a franchise player with the Timberwolves, fans would assume he knows at least one player on Minnesota’s professional baseball or hockey teams. However, Edwards, who is always up for debate as to whether he is the face of the NBA, is always brutally honest with his remarks and lacks the media-trained fake responses of many star athletes.
“I don’t have a favorite player from them either. I don’t know any Twins or Wild players. I’ll keep your money, I don’t watch baseball or hockey,” Edwards said at the 2:56 mark.
Given his penchant for being outspoken, it’s funny to hear his honesty in just admitting that he doesn’t watch or care about the other pro teams in Minnesota.
