Anthony Davis was not listed on the Mavericks’ injury report for their game against the Heat, according to the NBA’s official injury report, suggesting he will be ready to play. Davis recently returned to the lineup after a shin injury, he was ruled out for 14 consecutive games.
Davis returned to the lineup during the Mavericks’ loss to the Lakers last Friday. He started and finished the game with 12 points, five rebounds, five assists and three blocks in the Davis’ first match as an opponent in the Cripto.com Arena from last season’s trade of Luka Dončić.
The Mavericks had back-to-back games after the Lakers game, with a back-to-back against the LA Clippers. Davis did not play in that game as he continues to battle a calf injury. He played in the Mavericks’ win against the Nuggets on Monday, finishing with 32 points, 13 rebounds, four assists, one steal and two blocks in 28 minutes.
Davis was limited to just five games to start the season before being ejected. Entering Wednesday’s game against the Heat, he had appeared in seven games, averaging only about 30 minutes per game. He averaged 21.1 points, 9.9 rebounds, 2.9 assists, 1.3 steals and 1.6 blocks while shooting 53.7 percent from the field, 31.3 percent from the 3-point line and 75 percent from the free throw line.
