Bengals-Ravens Fantasy Football Week 13 Start ‘Em, Sit ‘Em

The Cincinnati Bengals and Baltimore Ravens will wrap up Thanksgiving with an AFC North game. Baltimore is tied for first in the division, while Cincinnati has just three wins on the season. But it’s a match highlighted by the return of Joe Barrow. How does it affect fantasy football start them, plant them for the Bengals and Ravens game?

Lamar Jackson missed a pass on Monday but was at practice on Tuesday for the Ravens. This is a trend for the two-time MVP, marking the third straight week he has missed practice due to injury. Ty Higgins will be out for the Bengals after suffering a concussion, and Trey Hendrickson is also out. There are plenty of injuries that fantasy football managers can work around in this game.

Who should you start and bench in fantasy football for the Ravens vs. Bengals matchup?

Lamar Jackson, Baltimore KB

Jackson has been a killer for fantasy football managers since returning from injury. He hasn’t scored 10 fantasy points in two straight weeks, his first stretch of two games without a pass since 2019. Injuries are a concern, but the Bengals’ defense is historically terrible. Give Jackson another chance in your lineup, and if he goes bad, Week 14 is the time to make a change.

Jackson hasn’t run much this year, with just 237 yards and a touchdown so far. The Ravens are on a five-game winning streak despite their terrible offensive game. Fantasy football managers have felt the offensive decline through many players, but none as dramatically as Jackson. Give him another shot in the lineup this week.

Chase Brown, Cincinnati RB

The Bengals offense has stalled the last two weeks. Joe Flacco’s magic was gone, and the Bengals lost two games, effectively ending their season. With Barrow back, all attention will be on the passing game, even without Higgins. But Chase Brown has a great opportunity in fantasy football against the Ravens this week.

Last week, with Tyrod Taylor and no Garrett Wilson on the field for the Jets, Brice Hall totaled 119 yards and nearly scored a touchdown on 20 carries. The Bengals need to get the ball out of Barrow’s hands quickly to keep him upright and healthy. That should include catching for Brown next to some big holes in the ground.

Mark Andrews, Baltimore TE

The Bengals defense has been one of the worst units in the league this year. They traded Logan Wilson, their linebacker, at the trade deadlineand you don’t have a great replacement for it. In order for Jackson to find the end zone again, he will need to return to his trusted safety blanket. Count on Andrews in Thursday Night Fantasy Football.

The Ravens need to get going on offense, and confidence is a big part of Andrews’ game. He was the scapegoat in the playoffs last year, so it would be poetic if he was the catalyst for the run this year.

Joe Burrow, Cincinnati KB

It’s great news that Barrow is back from his finger injury before the Bengals’ season is over. He could have sat out a year, let Joe Flacco dive with an uncompetitive defense, and come back in 2026. But instead, he returned for the brightest lights against the Ravens on Thanksgiving. However, that doesn’t mean you should start him in fantasy football.

If your fantasy football team is competitive, you’ve found a replacement for Burr. Whether it’s Daniel Jones, Caleb Williams or someone else, they’re the better option this week. Unless you’re in a deep league and a benching by Flacco opens up a spot, keep Burr on the bench.

Rashod Bateman, Baltimore VR

While the Ravens’ offense may take a step forward on Thanksgiving, that doesn’t mean Rashod Bateman is an option in fantasy football. He’s only scored 10 points in PPR leagues this season, and even Jackson’s resurgence couldn’t help him at this point. Andrews and Zay Flowers are much more likely to get red zone targets than Bateman at this point in the season.

Bengals D/ST

The Bengals’ defense is historically bad, and even at its worst, Jackson doesn’t turn the ball over. That’s not a great combination for defensive streamers this week, who are looking for some early points. The only positives managers could find here were sacks, which Jackson took plenty of. But it won’t score high enough to play them on Thursday night.
