Bill Simmons swims with Draymond Green after clash with Steve Kerr

The Golden State Warriors have won two straight games, including a recent victory over the Orlando Magic, but the story that has generated the most headlines has been the sideline tussle between the power forward Draymond Green and head coach Steve Kerrcausing Green to rush to the locker room. Green is not finished returning to the game, and the incident sparked further rumors that Golden State could potentially try to finally move away from the future Hall of Famer in a trade.
Most recently, The Ringer’s Bill Simmons gave birth to a business idea that would bring to an end Green’s time in the Bay Area.
“I wonder if there was Rui Hachimura and the Draymond deal. Let’s just mix it up and go in a different direction. Or with Sabonis sitting there for the Kings. Could it be Draymond, Kuminga and guys and let’s just try to find a guy,” Simmons said on his podcast.
The trend of sending Green to the Lakers to team up with his friend LeBron James would certainly be interesting, to say the least. Many have pointed to Los Angeles’ lack of reliable wing defenders as a reason they aren’t taken seriously as contenders out West, and adding Green to the mix in place of Hachimura would certainly give them an upgrade in that department.
Meanwhile, both Hachimura and Sabonis would give the Warriors more goals than Green is capable of at this late stage of his career. Sabonis would also provide Golden State with arguably its best man in the entire Stephen Curry era and help shore up the team’s gaping hole at the center position.
Still, at this point, it’s hard to imagine the Warriors parting ways with Green, the centerpiece of their four championship runs over the years.
