Brandin Podziemski suffers an injury against the Clippers

The The Golden State Warriors have finished the NBA preseason with a 106-103 loss to the Los Angeles Clippers. However, the more important news was that the Dubs were guarding Brandin Pod Ziemia he fell horribly and exited the game with an injury, which is not great ahead of the regular season.
“Brandin Podziemski writhing in pain at midcourt as Steve Kerr calls timeout,” tweeted ClutchPoints Warriors beat reporter Kenzo Fukuda, describing the scene. “It looks like he’s going to leave with the help of the coaching staff, but he’s definitely hooked. It’s not what you want to see in the final preseason game for the Warriors.”
Fortunately, it seemed that Podziemski recover from fear of injury at one time he even came back from a “hip contusion”.
“Brandin Podziemski back in game, reports Stephen Curry,” Fuhuda later reported. “An audible sigh of relief from the Chase Center crowd.”
While Warriors fans are glad that Podziemski is fine and out for an extended period of time, some took to social media to question the play in which he was injured. As he took the ball up court, Podziemski intentionally stepped in front of Clippers defenseman Kobe Brown to try to draw a foul.
This is a dangerous game that can result in injury to any player involved and is also baiting at its worst. In this situation, Podziemski initiated contact and then may have even flopped, leading to his injury.
While the NBA should be looking at taking plays like this out of the game, all’s well that ends well in this particular situation. After returning for the Warriors’ final preseason game, there’s no reason Podziemski can’t be ready for season 2025-26 opener.
Now the Warriors prepare for their regular season debut against another team from LA. Golden State will play against the Los Angeles Lakers on Tuesday, October 21st.
