Buffalo claims Darius Slay off waivers after being released by the Steelers

On Tuesday, Pittsburgh The Steelers waived cornerback Darius Slay after unsuccessful work with the 6-6 team. Slay is a veteran cornerback who had a ton of successful seasons with the Detroit Lions and Philadelphia Eagles. He won his first Super Bowl last season with the Eagles.

A day after being waived by the Steelers, the longtime cornerback has found a new home. The Buffalo Bills have requested a disclaimer for Slay off and intend to add him to a fractured secondary. Slay will now join the team he just played last week. He will likely back up longtime Bill Tre’Davis White and Taron Johnson at opposite corner.

On the season, Darius Slay has 36 tackles (28 solo) and three pass deflections.
