Celtics slap the Lakers for the 4th time in a row

Jailen Brown

After winning at the buzzer against the RaptorsLakers, no LeBron James etc Luka Doncic, went to Boston to challenge the Celtics Jailen Brown (30 points, 8 rebounds, 8 assists). To start the meeting, Jordan Walsh (17 points, 4 rebounds) opened the scoring and if Gabe Vincent immediately tied the game, the wave fell on the Lakers immediately after that.

Derrick White (19 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists) sends Nehemiah Quetta on “alley-oop” and that is the starting point 16-4 in favor of the home team, which gives them a twelve-point advantage (19-7). In this first act, the Lakers do not exist while the Celtics are loaded with skills like this brazen 63% shooting success through the first twelve minutes of the game (39-17).

The Celtics are walking

Joe Mazzula’s men didn’t slow down in the second quarter because if Austin Reaves (36 points, 8 assists) scores his first basket of the night, the Lakers can’t contain Boston’s offense and see Josh Minott etc Sam Hauser connect two long range arrows (49-21). By halftime, the Celtics continued to overwhelm the Lakers with 3-point shots and returned to the locker room with a big lead (69-46).

Midway through the third quarter, the Lakers had a slight burst of pride as they managed to get back to within 17 points (85-67), but they were too far gone to really hope to trouble their evening opponent. The Celtics corrected this failed third quarter without panic and counted on the Jordan Walsh-Derrick White duo to regain a 21-point advantage, which definitely buried the Lakers in a meeting where LeBron James’ teammates never existed (103-82).

The Celtics won by a wide margin 126-105 for their fourth straight before taking on the Raptors this Sunday at 9:30 p.m. French time and could, in case of victory, join the first 3 in the East.

WHAT TO REMEMBER:

The Lakers stayed in the locker room. If these two teams were “back-to-back,” the Celtics generally won against the Wizards and they could change their team while the Lakers were playing a close game against the Raptors and because of that they were less fresh. The difference in freshness that was felt from the start of the match. Between the amorphous attack and the porous defense, Los Angeles completely missed the start of the match and conceded 39-17 in twelve minutes.

Austin Reaves’ Waking Up Late. Without LeBron James and Luka Doncic, Austin Reaves once again had to carry the Lakers and, like his team, missed the start of the game. The Los Angeles guard starts the game with a 0/5 shooting and if he manages to set his sights in the rest of the match, it will be too late to get his team back into the match. He appeared in the third quarter as his team got back to within 15 points, but was unable to complete the comeback. However, he finished the night as the best scorer of the game with 36 points and 8 assists on 9/18 shooting.

Boston is in great shape. Boston has won nine of its last 11 games and now has the same record as the Heat and Magic (14-9) and could move into the Top 3 if they can win against Toronto on Sunday. One man symbolizes this great dynamic on the Celtics sideline: Jordan Walsh. Against the Lakers, he was again fantastic in efficiency with 17 points on 6/7 shooting and 4/5 3-pointers, a career high from behind the arc. In his last four outings, the winger is averaging 15 points and 7 rebounds.
