Chicago adds new two-way talent after giving up fan favorite

It was a busy Friday for Chicago Bulls. Three hours later signing Mac McClung to the contractthey decided to give it upby Legion Hoops. At the same time, the Bulls decided to waive fan favorite Yuki Kawamura after him maintained his health in the right leg, according to Will Gottlieb.
Then, Taurus officially signed former G Leaguer Trentin Flowers to a two-way contract, per Shams Charania of ESPN. McClung is a three-time NBA slam dunk champion who was the 2023-2024 NBA G League MVP.
Meanwhile, Kawamura was a young talent from Japan who became a fan favorite for his playmaking ability and free spirit. During the Summer League, Kawamura made quite an impressionaveraged 10.2 points and 6.2 assists per game.
Also, Flowers is a former Louisville standout who played in the National Basketball League in Australia. Last year he played in the NBA G League for the Los Angeles Clippers. He averaged 20 points per game in a total of six contests.
The Bulls closed out the preseason on Thursday by defeating the Minnesota Timberwolves 126-120. They finished 3-2 and will begin their regular season on Wednesday 22.10against the Detroit Pistons at the United Center.
What each of these decisions means for the Bulls
All three of these maneuvers affect Taurus in several ways. For example, McClung’s absence robs them of their offensive spark, given his ability to create highlights with his aerial exploits. Regardless, the Bulls can pick up the slack in that realm with Matas Bouzelis.
As for Kawamura, he possesses a transcendent appeal that fans gravitate to, along with the necessary skills. When it comes to Flowers, it has some budding potential. He can emerge as a top scorer and versatile defender who could complement Tre Jones and Isaac Okor nicely.
When it comes to these decisions, some things are lost and others are gained.
