Clippers’ Top 3 Targets to Replace Bradley Beal After Season-Ending Injury

The Los Angeles Clippers received some bad news, like Bradley Beal is scheduled to undergo season-ending surgery because of a hip fracture. Beal was a key free agent for the Clippers, especially after they traded Norman Powell to the Miami Heat. It was expected that Bill would immediately be a scorer in the starting line-up, but in just two to three weeks of the season, that dream will not come true.

Already with the Clippers dealing with injuries outside of Beal, they’ll need offensive reinforcements from somewhere. Kawhi Leonard is out last week with a sprained right ankle, and it is uncertain when he will return to the field.

As of now, there are several options the Clippers can look at in a trade or free agent market. Here are some of those options they should consider.

Malik Monk – Sacramento Kings

There have been rumors recently that the Kings may be looking to embark on a full rebuild after their slow start to the season, and that could include their big three of Zach LaVine, DeMar DeRozan and Domantas Sabonis. While they could end up being on the trade block, the Kings could start small and put some other pieces on the trade block. One of those players is Malik Monk, who has been subject to trade rumors before.

Monk is a shooter that could help the Clippers, and they could probably get him for a small price.

Cam Thomas has shown over the past few years that he can be an instant scorer, but he’s done it for a team that hasn’t won much. This season, it may be even worse, as the Nets started the season 1-10, and could be sellers at some point during the season. There’s also a chance Thomas and the Nets aren’t a long-term match, as they didn’t agree to an extension during the offseason.

It might be best for the Nets to try to acquire funds for him now that he can walk in the offseason.

The Dallas Mavericks may be looking to make some big changes to the team after firing general manager Nick Harrison, but it’s uncertain what they’ll do. If they decide to move some players, the Clippers should look at acquiring Max Christie, who shouldn’t come at a huge price tag.

The Clippers already have Cam Christie, who is his brother, so a family reunion wouldn’t hurt.
