David Adelman’s ‘Confounding’ Opinion on Draymond Green’s Late Injury
After that The Denver Nuggets defeated the Portland Trail Blazers by 54 points last Friday, the team won’t be able to follow that up with a 128-117 win over the Golden State Warriors on Sunday. As there are concerns for the Nuggets after their loss to the undermanned Warriorshead coach David Adelman would highlight an interesting aspect of the opponent’s injury report.
Shortly before tip-off, which was early at 12:30 p.m. local time, Golden State announced that Green was a late scratch with lower back tightness. This prompted the Warriors to go with Al Horford, who scored a team-high 22 points, leading to Adelman admitting how “confusing” it was to see a late injury to Green.
“It was confusing,” Adelman said, via ESPN. “I think that’s why we do the injury reports. Obviously the game plan was very different.”
The loss stings Denver as Golden State was without arguably their top four players in the famous season-ending injury to Jimmy Butler, Stephen Curry, who remains out, along with Kristaps Porzingis with an injury and Green. Even though it was Denver’s third road game in four days after the All-Star break, there’s no denying the team won’t use that as an excuse.
Nikola Jokic it becomes real what the Warriors had over the Nuggets

Jokić, who himself is coming back from an injury, played a fantastic game in which he recorded 35 points, 20 rebounds, 12 assists, three steals and two blocks. Although he even admitted that Golden State had “better energy”, via Sports Illustrated.
“They had better energy, and since I (entered the fourth quarter), I think it was a tie, I missed a three, they made a three, I had a turnover, they made it six quick, 7-0, and they were up 13, 11, or whatever. So we really couldn’t find an open shot; they found the whole game, they said the Yokes were making an open shot.
Either way, Denver looks to bounce back in their next game on Wednesday night against the Boston Celtics.
