Denver Nuggets 144-109 Philadelphia 76ers: Nikola Jokic plays the ‘best basketball of his career’
Nikola Jokic said he is “playing the best basketball of his life” after helping the Denver Nuggets beat the Philadelphia 76ers 144-109 in the NBA.
The three-time MVP recorded his fourth straight triple-double – and 13th of the season – as the Nuggets won their third straight game.
Jokic scored 27 points and had 13 rebounds and 10 assists before leaving the game in the fourth quarter at Denver’s Ball Arena.
He told TNT: “We’re not where we should be, but we’re trying to find a rhythm.”
The Nuggets are fourth in the Western Conference, and the 76ers are 11th in the East.
LeBron James became just the second player 40 or older to record a triple-double as the Los Angeles Lakers beat the Washington Wizards 111-88.
The 40-year-old finished with 21 points, 10 rebounds and 13 assists at Cripto.com Arena in LA.
Karl Malone is the only player over 40 to record a triple-double for the Lakers in 2003.
The Lakers are sixth in the Western Conference, and the Wizards are at the bottom of the East.
