Drake Maye wants to hit the restart button on the Super Bowl LX

The The New England Patriots came up short in Super Bowl LX against the Seattle Seahawks. Quarterback Drake Maye struggled in the Big Gamespinning the ball three times. He was also sacked six times in the loss to the Seahawks.
Maie, unfortunately, has struggled throughout the postseason. He had his moments when it mattered most. But he finished this postseason with seven fumbles and four interceptions. In Super Bowl LX, he threw two interceptions while fumbling once. May threw for two touchdowns, but it wasn’t enough.
After the game, the Patriots quarterback reacted to his performance. His answer was understandable and quite direct. “I wish I could go back to the beginning and do it again,” May said in the video shared on social media would Sportscenter.
May and the Patriots won the AFC East this season after going 4-13 in 2024. New England went on to turn its record around and then some, finishing 14-3. May, a sophomore quarterback from North Carolina, was an MVP finalist. However, he lost the award to Los Angeles Rams star Matt Stafford.
In the postseason, the offensive struggles for New England really came to light. As mentioned, Maie struggled with losses. But he was not alone at all. The offense couldn’t hold the ball, and they weren’t any better at protecting their quarterback in the pocket.
It was bravely run by the Patriots, all things considered. In the end, New England just didn’t go all out. What they do this offseason could signal whether the Pats are officially back or whether this has been more of a Cinderella run for Maye and his teammates.
