Draymond Green was ejected from the Suns game after 2 quick technicals

It wouldn’t be a Golden State Warriors season without a little drama from Draymond Greenand on Saturday night, the veteran forward picked up his first shutout of the 2025-26 campaign.
In a fierce rematch against Phoenix Suns at the Chase Center, Green got 10:39 left in the second quarter. The streak started when Green was whistled for a foul after shoving Suns guard Colin Gillespie in the back after a block on the other end. Frustrated by the call, Green started a a barrage of complaints at the referee crew.
The referees wasted no time, slapping Green with two technical fouls in quick succession. Despite the efforts of teammates and head coach Steve Kerr to intervene, Green was sent to the locker room, ending his night after just nine minutes of action.
The match was already tense. The two teams met just two nights earlier in Phoenix, a contest in which the Suns slipped to a one-point victory that featured a flagrant foul by Dillon Brooks on Stephen Curry. Green’s early departure only added fuel to the fire in what has become a bitter Western Conference rivalry.
Before his departure, Green recorded four points, three rebounds, one assist and one block. His absence left a hole in the Warriors’ defensive rotation, forcing Kerr to lean more on his bench to contain the Phoenix attack.
While Green’s passion drives Golden State, it’s moments like these that walk the fine line between getting a team going and letting it down. As he marched off the floor, the “Draymond Experience” was in full effect, loud, unapologetic and, for tonight, short.
