Fans hit Luka Doncic with a cold-blooded Nick Harrison chant

Atlanta The Hawks were able to pull off a big win against Los Angeles Lakers without four of their starters, and with the help of players such as Deason Daniels, Mouhamed Gueie and Asa Newell they led them to victory. The Hawks also got help from their fans throughout the game as they tried to make life miserable for them Luka Dončić in a hostile environment.

When Doncic went to the free throw line, Hawks fans started singing Nick Harrison’s name, and later, chanted “Mavericks reject.” It went in the Hawks’ favor both times, as Doncic split free throws twice when he went to the line.

There’s no doubt that Doncic gets these chants wherever he goes on the road, and it wouldn’t be a surprise if he actually heard them. Some players are so focused on the game that they don’t hear much crowd noise, but Doncic occasionally likes to play for the fans, so he has to hear them.

It’s hard to see if Nick Harrison’s chants really bother him, especially considering the state of the Dallas Mavericks since they traded him. Doncic is in a better situation with the Lakers, and they are one of the better teams in the Western Conference to start the season.

For one night, it looked like it might have gotten to him, and the Hawks appreciate their fans for what they do.

Outside of the huddle, the Hawks played a good game on both sides of the ball, finding the open man on offense as they got into transition and limiting Doncic to control the Lakers’ tempo. In the middle of the third quarter, the Hawks went on a big run and had a 28-point lead. From there, the head coach JJ Redick brought out Doncic for the rest of the game.
