Franz Wagner leaves the Knicks game with a leg injury after an awkward fall

on Sunday, Orlando Magic hit floor on the way to take over New York Knicks. Orlando has been playing lately, currently 14-9 despite a rough 1-4 start to the season.
Unfortunately, the Magic got something tough injury news at the start of this game regarding one of their best players.
“Franz Wagner he just landed awkwardly after offense Ariel Hookporti appeared to suffer a left knee injury. He was on the floor for several minutes and is now being helped off the field, not putting any weight on his left leg,” reported SNI’s Ian Begley on X, formerly Twitter.
“The Magic say Franz Wagner suffered a left leg injury during the first quarter today in New York. He is out for the remainder of the game and will be re-evaluated upon the team’s return to Orlando,” ClutchPoints NBA insider Brett Siegel reported.

An injury to Wagner is certainly not something the Magic can afford right now. Orlando only recently returned star Paolo Banchero from his own injury last week.
Injuries have been a major theme for the Magic during the Banchero and Wanger eras, with the two stars missing a significant amount of time over the last few seasons as the team tries to break into the upper echelon of Eastern Conference teams.
Either way, with the Knicks at the end of the game, the Magic will next take the floor on Tuesday in an NBA Cup elimination game at home against the Miami Heat.
