Good rebounds by Karl-Anthony Towns
Sat out the rest of the game against the Kingsuntil nothing is done, Karl-Anthony Towns didn’t recover against the Raptors, scoring just 8 points on 3/11 shooting. He made up for his clumsiness with plenty of rebounds, with 22 catches. The Knicks interior did it again against Portland.
U fifth win in a row from New York, “KAT” again struggled offensively with 14 points on 5/12 shooting, but was once again dominant from below the circle with 20 rebounds including 6 offensive rebounds.
“That’s what great players do: they make an impact in different ways”, assures Mike Brown. “Having 22 rebounds against Toronto and then 20, a double-double, in this game, that was huge because he grabbed six offensive rebounds and we beat the Blazers by points the second time.”
Additionally, the former Minnesota player committed just one foul in 65 minutes. For him, who has had too much foul trouble this season, that’s remarkable. And that lends even more weight to his 42 rebounds (13 offensive) over the last two games.
