How old man Aaron Rodgers savagely roasted the ‘slow’ defender of the Lions

In the third quarter of the Week 16 game between Pittsburgh Steelers and Detroit Lionsa veteran quarterback Aaron Rodgers scratched for a short gain.

A new moment of the play with the microphone on has surfaced and shows the Steelers’ Rodgers roasting the Lions linebacker Jack Campbellwhich forced Rodgers out of bounds.

Rodgers, 42, ran toward the right sideline, eventually stepping out of bounds. Campbell tried to go low, falling to the ground. Rogers tried to help him to his feet, but Campbell seemingly rebuffed his attempt.

This prompted Rodgers to take a shot at Campbell’s speed (or lack thereof). “Oh, you don’t want me to help pick you up?” Rogers asked. “Why? Because you’re slower than a 42-year-old? Is that the reason why? (Because) you’re slower than a 42-year-old?”

Campbell’s response is inaudible, but he managed to fumble on the next play. In the end, Rodgers got the last laugh, as the Steelers beat the Lions in the game 29-24.

Rodgers led the Steelers to their third straight win in Week 16 against the Lions. They led 12-10 in the fourth quarter, and in the final period it became a shootout.

The Steelers offense was led by Jalen Warren, who rushed for 143 yards and two touchdowns. Additionally, sophomore running back Kenneth Gainwell was the team’s leading receiver, catching five passes for 78 yards and a touchdown.

Rodgers completed 27 of his 41 passes for 266 yards. He also threw a touchdown and had no turnovers. This was his fifth consecutive game without a cut.

Despite being 42 years old, Rodgers has been effective this season. He threw for 2,860 yards, 23 touchdowns and seven interceptions. It was much better than his 2024 campaign with the New York Jets. He threw for 3,897 yards, 28 touchdowns and 11 interceptions.

Still, they went 5-12. The Steelers are currently 9-6 and in first place in the AFC North. They will finish the year with two divisional matchups against the Cleveland Browns and Baltimore Ravens.
