Insider Reveals ‘Absolutely Sure’ Mindset on LaMelo Ball Trade

The Charlotte Hornets they started the season slowly again, and it was reported that LaMelo Ball was open to a tradeas he is frustrated with the direction of the team. It’s not certain how true that rumor is, but one thing is certain: the Hornets are not looking to trade itaccording to Jake Fisher via Mark Stein.

“Our own Jake Fisher, on Bleacher Report Live Thursday afternoon, said he believes ‘with absolute certainty’ that the Hornets are unwilling to make calls against Ball right now. Not before they get an extended look at Ball playing alongside the injured Brandon Miller and the Hornets’ rookie duo of prospect Ryan Cubry,” wrote the team’s Ryan Cubry.

The Hornets haven’t been able to see the true potential of their team due to injuries, and once everyone is healthy it will be interesting to see if they can get back on track. If things continue to look the same and lose games, what do the Hornets do?

If they put Ball on the trading blockthere’s a good chance they could get a lot for him. At the same time, with questions about his injury history and his style of play, it wouldn’t be a surprise if he didn’t have many suitors. Ball has only played more than 70 games once in his career, and whether he can stay healthy over an 82-game season should be a real concern.

The Hornets could try to trade other players on the team, such as Miles Bridges, who might be able to get them assets that appeal to them. For now, the franchise appears to be in wait-and-see mode, and won’t know what they want to do until the season resumes.
