Darius Garland’s injury status against the Clippers

When it comes to the question of whether Darius Garland game tonight against the Clippers, the answer is yes.

Garland will suit up for the Wine and Gold as the team closes out its six-game season at home against former head coach Tyronn Lue and his LA squad. The Cavs are coming off a 120-109 victory over the Indiana Pacers, where Cleveland’s offense looked more like itself due to the return of Garland and Jaylon Tyson. Possessions in the half were fluid, attacks were on the rise throughout the team and the ball was bouncing around from corner kicks.

In his postgame press conference, Garland was thankful to come out of the game healthy despite the minor sting he had at the end of the game. He described the process of getting back on the court after the Nov. 10 setback in Miami.

“A lot of recovery, a lot of healing,” Garland said. “I’m trying to move the toe, I’m trying to get his flexibility back and a lot of time on the court.”

Additionally, coming off a concussion, Tyson is ready for his second straight contest.

It’s a good thing the Cavs have these two to boost their energy because Jarrett Allen, Lonzo Ball, Sam Merrill and Craig Porter Jr. all off. The four will join Max Struss, who has yet to make his season debut as he continues to recover from Jones’ fractured left foot.
