Is Jalen Green injured?

in 2025 Phoenix Suns they have a new roster that looks almost completely different. However, that new roster has yet to produce a win, and the Suns are 1-4. They are still waiting for one of their bigger pieces to return from injury, with rookie Jaylen Green who is dealing with a hamstring injury that sidelined him early in the season.

Suns fans were excited to see Jalen Green on Wednesday against the Memphis Grizzlies as he rose to questionable for the first time since his injury. However, he was sent off before tip-off, leading to speculation that he had suffered a setback in his recovery. This was reported by Arizona Sports Radio host and reporter John Gambadoro he is on the road to recoverybut tendon injuries are difficult and take time.

Gambadoro posted on X: “Suns guard Jaylen Green has not suffered a setback from what I was told last night. It’s just that the hamstring injuries are severe and take time to heal.”

Green missed the Suns’ first four games with a hamstring strain. Green suffered the injury before the start of the Suns’ preseason and aggravated the injury during the team’s preseason trip to China.

In July, the Suns acquired Green and Dillon Brooks as part of the seven-team trade that sent Kevin Durant to the Houston Rockets. In four seasons with the Rockets, Green missed 15 regular season games and played 186 consecutive games before the injury.

The anticipation behind Green’s Suns debut is huge as he has developed into a terrific scorer and someone who could take some pressure off Devin Booker. Green has career averages of 20.1 points, 4.6 rebounds and 3.4 assists per game, while also shooting 42.3% from the field and 34.2% from three-point range in his career.

Due to Green’s injury, Devin Booker was forced to play a lot offensively, with mixed results. He was otherwise a great scorer, averaging 29.2 points per game with a 47.4% field goal percentage. However, he has struggled as a facilitator so far without another ball handler by his side, averaging 4.6 turnovers per game.

“I’m excited to play Book. I think it’s going to be a good situation,” Green said at media day last month. “I think I’ll be able to learn a lot from him while also adding what I can bring to the table. We’ll complement each other a lot, especially with the system that Ott has us play.”

“I think we’re going to play fast, and we’re going to create a lot for each other and create for each other. So I’m very excited about that, and I think we’re going to shock a lot of people as well.”
