Is Stephen Curry hinting at joining Nike after Under Armor split?

Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry sent waves through the NBA world this week when it was announced Curry would cut ties with Under Armourthe company he’s had an apparel sponsorship with since 2013. And as the Warriors prepare to play the San Antonio Spurs on Friday, Curry may have dropped a hint about which company he’s eyeing.
During pregame warmups before the Warriors’ game against the Spurs, Stephen Curry was spotted lacing up a pair of Nike Kobe 6s. Whether this is a sign that Curry is leaning toward signing with the shoe giant is little more than unverified speculation.

There could be a dozen reasons why Curry chose those shoes, none of which have anything to do with his free agency for shoes. But it’s still fun to speculate which shoe company might get the services of a future hall of famer.
In the meantime, Curry hopes to help the Warriors put together a small winning streak. The team is coming off a win against the same Spurs on Wednesday to move to 7-6 and avoid falling below .500.
Curry has appeared in ten games for the Warriors so far this season, averaging just over 30 minutes per game. He averaged 27.1 points, 3.5 rebounds, 3.9 assists and 1.5 steals while shooting 45.3 percent from the field, 36.9 percent from the three-point line and 93.5 percent from the free throw line.
Picked No. 7 overall in the 2009 NBA Draft, Curry is now in his 17th NBA season, all with the Warriors.
