Ja Morant on relationship with Memphis after suspension

Even the return I Morant it wasn’t enough for Memphis Grizzlies to avoid their direct loss afterwards lost to the Detroit Pistons, 114-106at FedExForum on Monday.
Morant sat out Sunday’s game against the Toronto Raptors slapped with a one-game suspension by the Grizzlies for his harsh comments about the coaching staff following their loss to the Los Angeles Lakers on Friday.
The controversial guard finished with 18 points, five rebounds and 10 assists against the Pistons. He also had five turnovers. Memphis fell to 3-5.
Morant looked disgruntled in the locker room after the game when he was hounded by reporters. When asked if he thinks everything is resolved with the coaching staff, the two-time All-Star he seems to be avoiding the question.
“Yeah. They (the coaching staff) told you all that, didn’t they?” Morant said in a video posted by Matt Infield of Action News 5.
“Obviously they can’t tell you something I didn’t tell you.”
He said “they can’t* tell you something I didn’t say”, they can’t. https://t.co/UVpIJGiEVk

Morant felt like he didn’t get enough playing time against the Lakers, which led him to publicly question the coaching staff. He played 31 minutes, scoring eight points on 3-of-14 shooting and seven assists.
After missing back-to-back shots early in the fourth quarter against the Lakers, he was ejected. When he was substituted again with 5:33 left, he didn’t make a single attempt even though the Grizzlies still had a great chance to win. He also did not record a rebound or an assist.
Morant has had problems in recent years, including a 33-game suspension for brandishing a gun in two separate videos in 2023. He was also fined $75,000 by the NBA and suspended by the Grizzlies last season for finger-waving.
Is it time for the Grizzlies to move on from Morant?
