Jason Kidd addresses Knicks rumors
This was one of the tense series last summer: Jason Kidd will he join the knicks? As a reminder, the leaders of New York made the decision to separate from Tom Thibodeau and asked for his replacement.
Their former leader was in sight, and the Knicks asked to meet with him, and there was even talk of mutual interest between the two camps.
After all, that won’t be the case from then on Mike Brown will settle on the New York bench and a few days before the start of the season, Jason Kidd will even be extended by the Texans.
A few months after the rumors, and with the Mavericks losing to the Knicks and the franchise in turmoil, between the firing of Nick Harrison, poor results and possible departure of Anthony Davissaid the coach to come back to this episode.
“I never thought about leaving Dallas”, I assure Jason Kidd. “I love working for Patrick Dumont (owner). I understand that there is a lot of work here and I am ready for it. I was drafted here, I won here, I love the city and the fans. It never crossed my mind to leave Dallas. »
Passed by New York for his final year of his career in 2012/13, “J-Kidd” also misses out on “loved this year” and that New York remains “basketball mecca”. “Afterwards, we can say, it’s always nice to be wanted. It was a nice touch.”admits about the Knicks’ summer approach.
