Jaylen Brown loses a step back 3 over Victor Wembanyama
Jaylen Brown had an impressive peak against Victor Vembanyama during the first half of Boston Celtics match against San Antonio Spurs on Saturday night.
Brown is making a lot of noise as one of the top stars in the NBA. He’s in the MVP conversation, a huge jump from previous seasons, as he helped Boston stay in the playoffs despite being without Jayson Tatum due to injury.
He continued his outstanding form during Boston’s match against San Antonio. The highlight came in the final three minutes of the first quarter, as Brown guarded Vembanjame. He performed some dribbling moves while he stepped back and withdrew from the deepblasting a shot over the Spurs star as the Boston crowd cheered in approval.

Jaylen Brown played well against Victor Wembanyama, who is one of the tallest players in the NBA, in addition to having a long wingspan. He did well enough to give the Celtics a 55-50 lead over the Spurs at halftime.
Boston gave San Antonio the opening shot, taking a 26-21 lead after the first quarter. San Antonio kept the score close in the second quarter, tying the Celtics as they kept the deficit from growing.
Two players scored in double figures for Boston at halftime, including Brown. He led the way with 17 points, four rebounds and three assists. He shot 7-of-12 from the field, including 3-of-4 from beyond the arc. Derrick White was next with 17 points and four rebounds, while Neemias Cueta provided seven points and seven rebounds.
After the game against the Spurs, the Celtics will be on the road for their next contest. They face the Indiana Pacers on January 12th at 7:30 PM ET.
