Kobe White’s trade compensation was modified after a calf injury was physically discovered
There are new settings Trade Kobe White from the Chicago Bulls that the Charlotte Hornets due to a current injury.
White’s time with the Bulls, who selected him seventh overall in the 2019 NBA Draft, ended after seven seasons. Chicago sent him and Mike Conley to Charlotte for Usman Dieng and Colin Sexton.
Although White is dealing with a calf injury, the Hornets still went through with the trade. However, that doesn’t mean they are did not make adjustments after learning of the injury, per league insider Brett Siegel.
“The Hornets still wanted this trade done and don’t see this as a major injury, which is why it wasn’t revoked. But the CHA has the right to change the terms of the trade after not being aware of this calf injury before the physical, sources told @ClutchPoints,” Siegel wrote.
“Originally, the Hornets agreed to trade the following second round picks to the Bulls: 2029 DEN/CHA (lowest), 2031 NIK, 2031 DEN. Two 2031 picks will still go to Chicago in this deal. The Hornets will retain the 2029 pick.”

Kobe White will be looking forward to his trip with the Hornets after making a full recovery from his calf injury. Meanwhile, Charlotte will be looking to continue their incredible momentum after a remarkable run of games.
The Hornets haven’t made the playoffs since 2016, making just two playoff appearances in 2021 and 2022. After three straight lottery seasons, Charlotte appears to have built serious potential with its core of LaMelo Ball, Brandon Miller and Kon Knuppel.
Charlotte is 24-28 on the season, holding onto 10th place in the Eastern Conference standings. They are above the Chicago Bulls and Milwaukee Bucks while behind the Atlanta Hawks and Miami Heat.
With eight straight wins, the Hornets will be looking forward to their next match. They are on the road when they face the Hawks on February 7th at 7:30pm ET.
