Kyle Kuzma leaves the Raptors game with an ankle injury

Kyle Kuzma suffered an injury on Friday night match between Milwaukee Bucks and Toronto Raptors.

Kuzmi began his second season with the Bucks on Wednesday. He began his stay in Milwaukee after the team acquired him from the Washington Wizards in exchange for Khris Middleton.

He came off the bench in this match, playing 18 minutes before picking up an injury. It happened in the first minute of the fourth quarter, when he landed on the leg of an opposing player and limped to the locker room. NBA insider Brett Siegel later reported that the veteran forward would miss the rest of the game.

“The Bucks say Kyle Kuzma has a sprained left ankle and will miss the remainder of tonight’s game against the Raptors,” Siegel wrote.

Kuzma finished the night with eight points, three rebounds and a steal on 4-of-5 shooting from the field.

Despite an injury to Kyle Kuzma, the Bucks hung on down the stretch to hold off the Raptors and secure a 122-116 road win.

It was an affair between two parties. Milwaukee took the opening shot in the first quarter before Toronto stormed back in the second period. The contest continued into the fourth quarter as both teams were tied at 86 apiece. However, the guests outscored the hosts 36-30 in the last 12 minutes and ran away from victory.

Rebounding and 3-point shooting made the difference in this matchup. The Bucks won in both categories, recording 51 rebounds with 14 three-pointers. It wasn’t the same for the Raptors, who grabbed 41 rebounds while knocking down 11 3-pointers.

Five players scored in double figures for Milwaukee. Giannis Antetokounmpo dominated with statistics of 31 points, 20 rebounds, seven assists and a block. He shot 11 of 14 overall, including 2 of 2 from beyond the arc and 7 of 12 from the free throw line. Cole Anthony performed well off the bench with 23 points, seven assists and four rebounds. Gary Trent Jr. was next with 20 points and four assists, Ryan Rollins had 13 points and five rebounds, while Bobby Portis provided 11 points and eight rebounds.

The Bucks will be looking forward to their next match, as they are on the road. They face the Cleveland Cavaliers on October 26th at 6pm ET.
