Necessary surgery for Walker Kessler

Five short matches and then it was gone. Season 2025/26 Walker Kessler finished almost without beginning. The fault lies in an old left shoulder injury that forced the Jazz pivot to play pool, last November 6.

“I have a torn labrum in my left shoulder since Auburn., he specifies in relation to his school year 2021/22. “I played despite that. But this season the doctors explained to me that the more it sprained, the more it stretched my tendons. And no amount of reinforcement can prevent that. The operation was necessary because I already had too many dislocations.”

Walker Kessler was therefore released on a long rehab, which doesn’t necessarily come at the best of times because it didn’t it was not extended last summer. Also, he will be a free agent, but protected (Utah will be able to match any outside offer), next summer.

When he learned that this important season was over, after just five games, did he think about his future? “Of course, yes”answers Jazzer. “But we have to get rid of him quickly because it doesn’t lead to anything. No matter what you think, it doesn’t change anything.”

Even if the regret remains that we didn’t sign a summer extension. “My feeling hasn’t really changed: there was frustration in the beginning”he admits. “But nothing happens by chance. From now on I will concentrate on my rehabilitation, attack with as much intensity as possible. At the moment I am completely focused on that. I want to be the best possible teammate, in my own way.”
