Oregon football continues to grow its roster after the Rose Bowl loss to Ohio State. Now the Ducks have landed former USC star Emmanuel Pregnon. He is No. 1 inside offensive lineman on the transfer portal, according to Hayes Favcett of On3.com. After Oregon football has landed a top RB on the transfer portalnow they give him some protection in advance.
With quarterback Dillon Gabriel playing his final game for the Ducks, the program will have to look for a new quarterback to lead the way. However, building that offensive front seven is attractive to portal quarterbacks. Even with Oregon football adding Pregnon, the former USC star might not be enough to attract other quarterbacks.
The top quarterback on the transfer portal is already committed to a university. for example, John Mateer made a splash and committed to Oklahoma. Other quarterbacks are still available, but it could be a weak pick for the Ducks. However, Pregnon may know who he is protecting this season.

The addition of Pregnon is a big step in securing an elite offensive line. In a Big 10 conference predicated on elite offensive linemen, the Ducks fit the mold. They will continue to run the spread offense under Lanning, but this looks like a legitimate adjustment in the Big 10. Having elite players in the trenches will do wonders moving forward.
