Patty Mills vs Euroleague?
As the Euroleague registration deadline of February 25 approaches, the market is reviving and some familiar names are resurfacing. According to BasketNews, Patty Mills (age 37) is looking very seriously at Europe’s most prestigious league, after being offered to several clubs in recent weeks.
An Australian basketball icon and NBA veteran (16 seasons), the shooting leader is mostly looking to get back on the floor. Currently the GM of the University of Hawaii teamPatty Mills didn’t get a spot in the big leagues this season, but his resume remains solid: 921 NBA games for a career average of 8.7 points, and above all, a reliable outside shooter (38.5% on 3-pointers) with the ability to bring power off the bench.
Especially since he always managed to raise his level on the international stage, earning a nickname from “FIBA Patti” during his offensive cards made as Boomer’s first option.
For the Euroleague, the key question remains, and that is the immediate impact. But in a format where every possession counts, Patty Mills can offer what many are looking for in February: shooting, experience and composure.
