Race for MVP | Slight lead for Shai Gilgeous-Alexander in ESPN’s first poll
It became a habit: a few seasons, ESPN questionsat regular intervals, 100 journalists to provide updates on progress, especially for the MVP race. And for this first result of the season, it is Shai Gilgeous-Alexander which turns (slightly) forward, forward Nikola Jokic.
The leaders of Oklahoma City and Denver were so named of all those surveyed and monopolized 197 of the 200 votes for the top two spots. That means it’s an ordinary duel for now.
However, thanks to the Thunder’s record (25 wins – 2 losses), which is at the top of the NBA and can legitimately hope for a successful record in the regular season, erasing 73-9 Warriorsthe advantage is Shai Gilgeus-Aleksandar (865) with 57 first places, against 42 Nikola Jokić (822).
