Sacramento drops player’s game close to 20-20 for 13th straight loss
That’s it tank season for the Sacramento Kings. As much as the franchise gains from poor roster construction, the good news is that they own all of their future first-round picks, even though they owe the San Antonio Spurs a trade of picks in 2031. That means the Kings are turning to a full-on youth movement — with players like Maxime Reynaud that they can use to get every opportunity.
And the result was exactly what Rayno did Monday night in the Kings’ 120-94 loss to the New Orleans Pelicans. It starts to the place of Domantas Sabonisfreshman from Stanford set up 21 points and 19 rebounds, the latter a career high, and all that came of it was a loss to another of the worst teams in the NBA.
Monday night’s Kings vs. Pelicans matchup made it a must-see for some, and the two teams went viral on TikTok in such a hilarious way. Alas, the rivalry did not bear fruit.
Sacramento has used the Utah Jazz and Washington Wizards’ strategy of limiting the minutes of their established players to reduce their chances of winning, and suffice it to say, this is the smart thing to do to increase their chances ahead of a crowded draft.
The Kings young players are finally getting opportunities

With the 2025-26 season long lost for the Kings, their young players are finally getting the opportunities they deserve. Reynaud played 38 minutes and Nick Clifford wasn’t too far behind with his goal on 37 minutes. Clifford, however, struggled with 4-16 shooting from the field on the night.
Devin Carter and Dylan Cardwell also played big minutes off the bench, both breaking the 30-minute mark. Carter went 12-3-4 with one steal, while Cardwell added six points, 11 rebounds, two steals and two blocks.
